This year’s edition of Textival’s literature festival turns its focus toward the hand, the text, and the thread. It highlights the labor and language that emerge at the intersection of body and material. The program explores how writing and craft overlap, how words and threads intertwine, and how embodied experiences connect the personal with the collective. How does language affect material? What memories, voices, and stories are embedded in the work of the hand?

The festival’s opening program takes place within Slobodan Živić’s ongoing exhibition Stargazing Through Barbed Wire.
