NSFW/SVILOVA proudly presents 'Petrofeminism' by artist Madeleine Andersson. The exhibition consists of a video work shown at our gallery, an exhibition in poster format, and a takeaway text print in size 70 x 100 cm.

We will be screening the video 'your hole is our goal', consisting of found footage composed from a film that was foremost shot by workers in the fossil fuel industry. By drawing on their personal experience of their product-- the film evokes a corporeal and actual reaction between body, fascination, and fossil fuels. This point is further enhanced by the title-- which is a slogan used by a multitude of oil companies, predominantly in the U.S.

The introduction text for the exhibition 'PETROFEMINISM Bodies of oil and pools of discharge', is written by the artist and has been printed on a takeaway standard poster size. * You are more than welcome to come and pick up a copy at our gallery space!

In the streets of Gothenburg, the artworks 'I don’t know anything about Lacan but I do know a thing or two about not using a condom I & II' will be displayed in poster format on 31 public billboards around Gothenburg. In 1960 Lacan drew the ‘Graph of Desire’; A line on a paper suspiciously similar to the shape of a recent introduction to the British market – the mass-produced latex condom. But when Lacan drew the line the condom was still illegal in France where he resided, leaving us with the question: "Did Lacan use condoms illegally?”

  • Opening: Wed–Fri 12-16, Saturday 12–15 hrs or by appointment.
  • Location: Vasa Kyrkogata 5
