Midsummer is around the corner, and we’re pleased to share jagärenm-a-nenmansomflyrendimmautannamn, a new audio piece by Gothenburg-based artist and composer Gustaf Gideon.
Gideon, alchemist and user of instruments, presents in the evocative work jagärenm-a-nenmansomflyrendimmautannamn a fog that emerges as a layered metaphor for the digitalized society: a threat, a comfort—something that both seeps in and holds you close. His practice begins in the city’s underbelly, where gathered data is transformed into sonic maps of the urban mind.
And his shadow? It seems to have been lost on expeditions—last seen performing at Julia Bohlin’s opening at Galleri Monitor. One is left wondering: who is really fleeing whom—and what?

Gustaf Gideon is a Swedish musician and sound artist. He holds a double bachelor's degree in sound design and graduated from the University of Skövde, where he researched aesthetic audiovisual silence. He is involved in several collaborative music projects, and upcoming events include a performance at Ljurhalla Fabriken on 5 July 2025.
